About Dr Bianca Booysen

Dr Bianca Booysen is a compassionate and dedicated medical doctor with a strong foundation in both preventative and curative healthcare. She began her academic journey at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biokinetics—an area that deepened her understanding of human movement, rehabilitation, and the importance of holistic wellness.

Driven by a passion to make a broader impact, she went on to pursue her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) degree, also at Wits University. Her clinical training was further shaped by hands-on experience during her internship at Helen Joseph Hospital, a bustling academic hospital known for its diverse patient base and complex cases.

She later served her community service year at Nic Bodenstein Hospital, where she provided essential medical care in a rural setting, strengthening her adaptability, problem-solving skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Today, Dr Booysen integrates her background in biokinetics with her medical expertise to offer comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on both treatment and prevention. She believes in empowering patients through education, empathy, and a personalised approach to health.
